The Company has now clarified as follows: "The shareholders had by special resolution dated September 28, 2005 approved the buy-back of equity shares of the Company at a maximum price of Rs.50/- per share. However in view of the change in the market condition, it would be futile to implement the said buy-back proposal (being at Rs.50/- per share) and hence the Board of Directors at their meeting scheduled to be held on January 13, 2006 will consider a fresh proposal for buy-back permitted within the powers of the Board of Directors. The details of the fresh buy-back proposal as approved by the Board of Directors on January 13, 2006 will be intimated to the stock Exchanges in due course." | - |
