New rules will require passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and tractors with Level-3 or higher automated driving to comply with stringent security measures. Existing models and vehicles receiving over-the-air updates will also need to adhere to these regulations in phases starting October, enhancing vehicle safety against rising cyber threats.
