Mutual funds pick fewer IPOs but deliver bigger returns in the first half of 2026
Mutual funds have turned more selective in India's IPO market, participating in only 19 of the 28 public issues in the first half of 2026, according to Prime Database. Despite bidding less, their stock selection has outperformed. Ten of the 11 IPOs led by mutual funds are trading above their issue price, with Omnitech Engineering surging 133%.
