Stock markets to track crude prices, global trends, TCS earnings this week
Trading sentiment in the stock market this week will depend on crude oil prices, global trends and the start of corporate earnings season with IT bellwether TCS reporting its June-quarter financial results on July 9, analysts said. Besides, the advancement of the southwest monsoon and trading activity of foreign investors would also influence market trading, they added. "Investors will closely monitor the quarterly results of TCS on July 9, with particular focus on management commentary regarding demand trends, discretionary spending, and AI-led business opportunities," Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd, said. Last week, the BSE benchmark Sensex climbed 663.44 points, or 0.86 per cent, and the NSE Nifty increased by 214.85 points, or 0.89 per cent. "Domestically, investor attention will centre on the commencement of the Q1 FY27 earnings season from July 9, with the initial batch of corporate earnings and management commentary expected to provide valuable insights int
Markets ahead: West Asia tensions, crude prices key factors to watch out
Developments on the geopolitical front, with the latest military exchanges involving the US and Iran, their impact on crude oil prices and domestic macroeconomic data announcements would dictate sentiments in the stock market this week, analysts said. Besides, trading patterns of foreign investors and progress of the southwest monsoon would also remain the key areas of focus for investors, they added. "Market participants will closely monitor Industrial Production (IIP) data, the final HSBC Manufacturing, Services and Composite PMI readings, and the foreign exchange reserves data for fresh insights into the health of the domestic economy," Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd, said. Globally, the trajectory of crude oil prices and geopolitical developments in West Asia will remain key drivers of market sentiment, he said. The monthly auto sales numbers on July 1 will also be tracked by investors closely. "The week ahead is likely to be shaped by developments on the ..
Inflation data, US Fed rate decision likely to drive markets this week
Market investors would keenly track inflation data, the US Fed interest rate decision, and trends in crude oil prices to determine further movement, analysts said. Besides, the status of the US-Iran deal signing on Sunday, trading activity of foreign investors and movement in global markets would also drive sentiments in domestic equities, experts noted. "On the domestic front, investors will monitor the release of May WPI inflation data," Ajit Mishra SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd, said. Globally, the US Federal Reserve's policy decision will be the most significant event, he added. US President Donald Trump has said a deal to end the war with Iran would be signed on Sunday and that the strategic Strait of Hormuz would be "open to all" immediately afterwards. At the same time, Trump kept the threat of fresh attacks dangling if the deal failed to pan out as expected. Markets are likely to remain highly sensitive to developments surrounding the proposed USIran agreement, Pon

Stock market this week will track simmering tensions in West Asia, its impact on crude oil prices, and trading activity of foreign investors, analysts said. The trading week may begin on a cautious note following a sharp decline in the US markets over the weekend, an expert said. Besides, progress of monsoon and inflation data announcement will also be important factors to watch out for. "This week will be driven by key inflation, and global macroeconomic data releases. In India, investors will closely track inflation data for May, scheduled for release on June 12, along with foreign exchange reserves data on the same day. "Globally, developments around the US-Iran negotiations and their implications for crude oil prices, currency movements, and overall risk sentiment will remain in focus," Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd, said. US markets ended sharply lower on Friday, with the Nasdaq Composite tumbling 4.18 per cent. The S&P 500 dived 2.64 per cent and Dow Jones
