According to Nuvama, HCLTech's weak guidance for FY27 now converges its growth differential with TCS and Infosys, which is likely to lead to convergence of their valuations. The brokerage has cut growth estimates and revised its USD-INR assumption to 93 from 88 earlier.

Closing Bell: Nifty above 23,100, Sensex gain 509 pts; IT, metal, realty shine
Biggest Nifty gainers were Wipro, Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, TCS, Infosys, while losers included Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Adani Enterprises, Interglobe Aviatoion, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports. Except Consumer Durables and PSU Bank, all other sectoral indices ended in the green with Information Technology rose 2.5%, Metal index gained 1.5%, Realty index up 1.7% and Media index jumped 1%. The Nifty midcap index was up 0.3 percent, while smallcap index ended flat.

Indian equities erased all the intraday losses with Nifty back above 23,500. TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Trent are among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers are NTPC, Power Grid Corp, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs and L&T. Among sectors IT index up 4%, while auto, metal, Consumer Durables, realty up 0.5% each. However, pharma, healthcare, power, media, energy down 0.5-1%.
