Praveen Sahay, Lead Research Analyst Consumer Durables, Building Materials & EMS, PL Capital Group, expects LG India to sustain revenue and EBITDA expansion over the coming quarters, while Amber Enterprises could see higher contributions from electronics manufacturing and mobile production beginning FY28. Dixon Technologies may benefit from a potential Vivo joint venture, although margin pressure is likely to persist due to raw material costs and lower PLI benefits.

Corporate fundraising through CPs touch 5-year high at ₹2.53 trn in June

Fundraising by Indian corporates through commercial papers (CPs) route surged to a nearly five-year high in June, driven by favourable pricing, seasonal working capital requirements and refinancing of existing debt. According to Prime Database data, corporates raised Rs 2.53 lakh crore through CPs in June, up 84.6 per cent from Rs 1.37 lakh crore in May. On a year-on-year basis, issuances rose 59.4 per cent from Rs 1.59 lakh crore in June 2025. The June mobilisation was the highest since July 2021, when companies had raised Rs 2.69 lakh crore through CPs, the data showed. "Corporates preferred CPs over bank borrowings wherever pricing was favourable. Many issuers also refinanced existing obligations and built precautionary liquidity buffers. The easing interest rate environment and expectations of comfortable liquidity further encouraged issuances," said V Ramachandra Reddy, head of treasury at The Karur Vysya Bank. Balasubramanian R, head of treasury at Dhanlaxmi Bank, said ...

HDFC Securities sees limited impact from RBI's new prop trading rules, expects firms to adapt

Abizer Diwanji, founder of NeoStrat Advisors LLP, pushed back on the idea that the RBI is targeting capital markets directly, noting that market regulation is SEBI's — the Securities and Exchange Board of India's — job, not the RBI's. Instead, he said, the central bank's goal is to prevent bank funding from inflating asset prices in ways that create systemic risk.

SEBI's open-market buyback return may boost shareholder value: EY India

SEBI's decision to allow open-market share buybacks from August 1 is expected to provide companies with greater flexibility in returning capital to shareholders, according to Mitul Shah of EY India and Bhavesh Shah of Equirus Capital. The move comes after tax changes made open-market buybacks viable again. Experts believe the route could support stock-price stability, improve capital allocation and encourage buyback activity among cash-generating companies with limited capital expenditure needs.

Elara Capital's Harendra Kumar sees India benefiting as AI trade cools and FII flows return

Harendra Kumar of Elara Capital says global money flowing out of expensive AI stocks could now flow back into India, especially as the country's weight on global indices hits new lows and West Asia tensions ease. He's less worried about a weak monsoon hurting markets, noting some sectors gain even as others lose. On telecom, he backs Bharti Airtel over Vodafone Idea, citing its Africa business and expected tariff hikes that benefit both operators and the government.
