Zen Tech, HAL & other defence stocks rally up to 6% on DAC's Rs 52,000-crore approval. Motilal picks 3 shares to buy
Defence stocks rallied sharply on Monday after the Defence Acquisition Council approved procurement proposals worth around Rs 52,000 crore. Zen Technologies, ideaForge, HAL, BEL, Paras Defence and Data Patterns gained, while Motilal Oswal reiterated its 'Buy' ratings on HAL, Bharat Electronics and Astra Microwave.

Paras Defence, MTAR Tech, HAL Shares Rally In Trade As India's Defence Production Touches All-Time High
Paras Defence emerged as the top gainer, surging 12.89%, followed by Astra Microwave Products, which advanced 7.72%, and MTAR Technologies, up 6.99%. Data Patterns gained 4.81%, while Bharat Dynamics rose 4.39%.

Here's why Zen Tech, other defence shares surged up to 11% in trade today
The Nifty India Defence Index is currently trading 1.3% higher, with stocks such as Data Patterns, Astra Microwave, Garden Reach Shipbuilders, MTAR Tech, trading with gains between 2.5% to 4%.

These stocks have gained up to 10% led by order wins over the weekend
Apart from VA Tech Wabag, Data Patterns and SEAMEC, other companies that have won orders include RailTel, which has won an order worth ₹34 crore from the South Central Railway, Dilip Buildcon has emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹160 crore EPC road project, and Newgen Software, which has bagged a ₹20.5 crore order form Kuwait.
