Markets end higher in volatile week; rupee recovers from record low
The total market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies rose marginally by ₹1.79 lakh crore during the week. Among the gainers, Reliance Industries led the increase in market capitalisation, while ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, and Axis Bank witnessed a decline in their market capitalisation.

Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty end flat amid volatility; pharma, oil & gas gain, media falls
Bharat Electronics, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki were among major gainers on the Sensex, while losers were Power Grid Corporation, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank and Eternal. Among sectors, auto, pharma, oil & gas, PSU Bank telecom, metal added 0.4-1%, while media index shed 0.7%. Nifty Midcap index rose 0.6%, while smallcap index ended flat.
Axis Max Life, SBI Life lead June premium growth; Nomura says 'June brings Life back'
Among its covered companies, Axis Max Life recorded the strongest total APE growth at 21% year-on-year in June, followed by SBI Life at 18%, ICICI Prudential Life at 15% and HDFC Life at 8%.

Biggest Nifty losers were HDFC Bank, ONGC, HDFC Life, Titan Company, Apollo Hospitals, while gainers included Hindalco Industries, Trent, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Eternal. Among sectors, IT, capital goods and metal indices gained 1% each, while auto, bank, oil & gas ended lower. The Nifty midcap index rose 0.6 percent and smallcap index added nearly 1 percent.

Among sectors, except FMCG ( down 0.7%) and IT (down 1%), all other indices ended in the green with capital goods, telecom, auto, infra, media, metal, realty, private bank up 1-2 percent.
