Sensex Today | Stock Market Live: Sensex jumps 880 pts, Nifty above 24,250; all sectors rally
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Bajaj Auto, HUL, Tata Consumer were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dr Reddy's Labs, ONGC, Eternal and Adani Enterprises. All the sectoral indices are trading in the green with auto, FMCG, realty, power, telecom up 1% each. Nifty Midcap and Smallcap indices up 0.7% each.
Closing Bell: Nifty above 23,100, Sensex gain 509 pts; IT, metal, realty shine
Biggest Nifty gainers were Wipro, Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, TCS, Infosys, while losers included Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Adani Enterprises, Interglobe Aviatoion, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports. Except Consumer Durables and PSU Bank, all other sectoral indices ended in the green with Information Technology rose 2.5%, Metal index gained 1.5%, Realty index up 1.7% and Media index jumped 1%. The Nifty midcap index was up 0.3 percent, while smallcap index ended flat.

Closing Bell: Day 2 of gains pushes Nifty above 23,550, Sensex up 568 pts led by auto, metal, realty
Nifty midcap index rose 1 percent, while smallcap index added 0.65 percent. Eternal, Tata Steel, M&M, HDFC Life and Bharat Electronics were among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Wipro, Tata Consumer, Infosys, Cipla, ITC. Among sectors, except FMCG ( down 0.7%) and IT (down 1%), all other indices ended in the green with capital goods, telecom, auto, infra, media, metal, realty, private bank up 1-2 percent.

Stocks in focus include Bajaj Auto, Brigade Enterprises, Blue Star, Godrej Consumer Products, Hexaware Technologies, Meesho, One 97 Communications, Shree Cement, Radico Khaitan, Raymond Lifestyle, Dhara Rail Projects, KRM Ayurveda, Macobs Technologies, Odyssey Technologies, Stylam Industries.

Citi retained its "buy" rating on Tata Consumer Products stock, saying that the demand remains resilient, with no visible signs of a slowdown so far.

Among the Nifty constituents, Shriram Finance, L&T, InterGlobe Aviation, Bajaj Finance and Titan Company emerged as the top gainers. On the other hand, Nestle India, ONGC, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consumer and SBI Life Insurance ended as the major laggards.
