A sustained rise in crude prices could weigh on Indian equities, with oil marketing companies, aviation firms and other oil-dependent sectors likely to remain in focus. The sharp sell-off on Wall Street adds to the cautious mood, while investors will also keep a close watch on Tata Consultancy Services' first-quarter earnings which may influence sentiment in the IT sector.
