Strong earnings: Trent, Vedanta among 10 largecaps that clocked highest profit growth of up to 125% YoY in Q3
Several Indian largecap companies showed strong financial results in the December quarter. Trent and Vedanta were among ten firms that achieved substantial profit growth, with some seeing increases up to 125 percent year-on-year. Other companies like Muthoot Finance, Siemens Energy, and TVS Motor also reported healthy profit jumps.

Indian equities erased all the intraday losses with Nifty back above 23,500. TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Trent are among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers are NTPC, Power Grid Corp, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs and L&T. Among sectors IT index up 4%, while auto, metal, Consumer Durables, realty up 0.5% each. However, pharma, healthcare, power, media, energy down 0.5-1%. Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty end flat amid volatility; pharma, oil & gas gain, media falls
Bharat Electronics, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki were among major gainers on the Sensex, while losers were Power Grid Corporation, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank and Eternal. Among sectors, auto, pharma, oil & gas, PSU Bank telecom, metal added 0.4-1%, while media index shed 0.7%. Nifty Midcap index rose 0.6%, while smallcap index ended flat.
