Govt approves ₹23,437 crore railway expansion across 6 states
The Union Cabinet has approved three major railway projects costing over ₹23,000 crore. These projects will add nearly 900 km to the Indian Railways network. Swiggy has expanded its ‘Food on Train’ service through its partnership with IRCTC, growing its network by 117% over the past year. The service now covers 152 stations as of February 2026, up from 70 stations in February 2025, with supply spanning from Guwahati to Rajkot and Pathankot to Tirunelveli.
