Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark indices extended the opening gains and trading around 23950. Except metal, all other sectoral indices are trading in the green with auto, FMCG, media up 1-1.5%. Nifty Midcap index trade flat and Smallcap index up 0.4%. Titan Company, M&M, Eternal, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Life, Coal India, Tech Mahindra, Interglobe Aviation.
Nifty IT extends gains to over 3% as rebound strengthens; Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech lead, dominate Nifty gainers
All major IT stocks traded firmly higher on Wednesday, reversing losses from the previous session. The rally extended to midcap IT names as well.

Shares of Sakar Healthcare Limited may have reacted positively to the bulk deal, soaring 16.16 percent to end at a record closing high of Rs 696.7 amid strong volumes on the National Stock Exchange. Strong buying interest was also seen in Nazara Technologies Limited as its shares surged 12.76 percent to Rs 299.95.

Except IT, all other sectoral indices ended in the red, with Infra, PSU Bank, Realty, Media, Oil & gas, Auto, Metal down 2-4%. Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices down 2% each. Tata Steel, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, SBI Life Insurance, L&T, JSW Steel were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Coal India, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Tech Mahindra.

Among sectors, auto, bank, FMCG, metal, realty, telecom shed 1-2%, while IT, media, consumer durables ended in the green.

Among sectors IT index up 4%, while auto, metal, Consumer Durables, realty up 0.5% each. However, pharma, healthcare, power, media, energy down 0.5-1%.
