Markets ended lower, snapping a two-day winning streak, with benchmark indices pressured by weakness in financials and select heavyweight stocks. The Sensex declined over 300 points, while the Nifty failed to hold above the crucial 24,000 mark. Market breadth remained weak, with decliners outnumbering advancers by nearly two-to-one on the BSE, reflecting broad-based selling. Among the Nifty 50 gainers, Dr Reddy's, Max Healthcare and Trent led the advances, while Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and IndiGo were among the biggest losers of the session.
