Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian benchmark indices extended the opening gains and trading around 23950. Except metal, all other sectoral indices are trading in the green with auto, FMCG, media up 1-1.5%. Nifty Midcap index trade flat and Smallcap index up 0.4%. Titan Company, M&M, Eternal, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Life, Coal India, Tech Mahindra, Interglobe Aviation.

As of December 2025, HDFC Mutual Fund through HDFC NIFTY500 Multicap 50:25:25 Index Fund held 7.62 percent equity stake in the TVS Group company.
Closing Bell: Nifty below 24,900, Sensex slips 1,048 pts on rising middle east tension
Biggest Nifty losers were L&T, Interglobe Aviation, Adani Ports, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Adani Enterprises, while gainers included Bharat Electronics, Sun Pharma, ONGC, Dr Reddy's Labs and Hindalco. Except metals, all other sectoral indices ended lower with Auto, Consumer Durables, Oil & Gas down 2 percent each. The Nifty midcap and smallcap indices fell 1.5 percent each.

Taking Stock: Markets rebound; Nifty reclaims 24,150, Sensex jumps 600 pts
Among the top gainers on the index were Maruti Suzuki India, Coal India, Tech Mahindra, ITC Limited, and Reliance Industries. On the downside, InterGlobe Aviation, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, NTPC, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finserv were among the key laggards.

Among sectors, auto, pharma, oil & gas, PSU Bank telecom, metal added 0.4-1%, while media index shed 0.7%. Nifty Midcap index rose 0.6%, while smallcap index ended flat.

On the sectoral front, oil & gas, PSU Bank, Infra, Consumer Durables, and Private Bank shed between 0.4-2%, while metal, power, pharma added 0.5-1%. L&T, Interglobe Aviation, HDFC Bank, Shriram Finance, Jio Financial are among biggest losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Dr Reddy's Labs, Hindalco, Bajaj Auto, Bharat Electronics, ONGC. Indian equities erased all the intraday losses with Nifty back above 23,500. TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Trent are among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers are NTPC, Power Grid Corp, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs and L&T. Among sectors IT index up 4%, while auto, metal, Consumer Durables, realty up 0.5% each. However, pharma, healthcare, power, media, energy down 0.5-1%. Closing Bell: Day 2 of gains pushes Nifty above 23,550, Sensex up 568 pts led by auto, metal, realty
Nifty midcap index rose 1 percent, while smallcap index added 0.65 percent. Eternal, Tata Steel, M&M, HDFC Life and Bharat Electronics were among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Wipro, Tata Consumer, Infosys, Cipla, ITC. Among sectors, except FMCG ( down 0.7%) and IT (down 1%), all other indices ended in the green with capital goods, telecom, auto, infra, media, metal, realty, private bank up 1-2 percent.
