Titan stock rises over 3.5%, top Nifty gainer after strong Q1 update; brokerages bullish, check target prices
Titan shares climbed after the company reported a stronger-than-expected June quarter business update, with robust growth across jewellery and other segments. The upbeat performance prompted brokerages to retain their bullish stance.
Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty end flat amid volatility; pharma, oil & gas gain, media falls
Bharat Electronics, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki were among major gainers on the Sensex, while losers were Power Grid Corporation, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank and Eternal. Among sectors, auto, pharma, oil & gas, PSU Bank telecom, metal added 0.4-1%, while media index shed 0.7%. Nifty Midcap index rose 0.6%, while smallcap index ended flat.
Bank Nifty jumps past 58,000 as Fed flags possible rate hike; SBI, HDFC Bank among top gainers
Among individual banking stocks, SBI rose 1.58 percent to Rs 1,042.70, while HDFC Bank gained 1.51 percent to Rs 799. Both the stocks were among top Nifty gainers today. SBI remained in focus after its central board approved raising up to Rs 60,000 crore in FY27.
