Domestic investors, REITs drive record $5.1 billion inflows into Indian real estate in Q1
India’s real estate sector recorded strong momentum, with investments hitting a record $5.1 billion in the January–March quarter, driven mainly by domestic investors and rising REIT activity. Capital was largely directed toward office assets and mixed-use development in major cities, reflecting sustained confidence despite global uncertainties.

Of the total capital inflows during January-March, real estate developers constituted around 42 per cent, closely followed by REITs at about 40 per cent. Investments by REITs surpassed USD 2 billion.

Sowparnika Projects in talks to raise Rs 500 cr for expansion
Sowparnika Projects is in advanced talks to raise ₹500 crore from investors including WSB Real Estate Partners, ASK Fund Advisors, and HDFC Capital to fund its expansion across South India. The company plans to develop 5.5 million sq ft in Bengaluru, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu over the next two years and aims to nearly double its revenue to ₹1,500 crore by FY27.
