Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty Midcap index up 0.2% and Smallcap indices up 0.7%. Among sectors, metal, media, realty, oil & gas, power up 0.5-1% each. Adani Ports, Interglobe Aviation, Wipro, NTPC and Hindalco are among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers are Tata Consumer, Max Healthcare, JSW Steel, SBI Life Insurance, Axis Bank.

Auto stocks also remained under pressure, with all 15 constituents of the Nifty Auto index trading lower.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, SBI Life Insurance, L&T, JSW Steel were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Coal India, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Tech Mahindra.
Tata Steel, JSW Steel among top Nifty losers; metal index tumbles over 4% as US-Iran war stokes fears
The broader sell-off in metal stocks came even as aluminium prices surged globally amid supply disruption concerns linked to the escalating Iran conflict. Aluminium on the London Metal Exchange rose after Qatar-based producer Qatalum halted production.

Nifty Midcap and smallcap indices down 1% each. Dr Reddy's Labs, Bharti Airtel, M&M, HDFC Life, Sun Pharma were among the top drags on the Nifty, while gainers were Trent, HCL Tech, Infosys, Apollo Hospitals. Among sectors, auto, bank, FMCG, metal, realty, telecom shed 1-2%, while IT, media, consumer durables ended in the green.
