Buyback alert! Onward Tech announces Rs 180 crore share buyback at 20% premium
Onward Technologies has approved a Rs 180 crore share buyback, repurchasing nearly 5.49 lakh shares at Rs 328 apiece, a 20% premium. Promoters will not participate in this first-ever buyback, with May 18 set as the record date. The company appointed Centrum Broking as the buyback manager.

This deal was completed after receiving regulatory approval. Weaver Services also raised Rs 950 crore to fund this acquisition. The capital raise totaled Rs 1,450 crore. Lightspeed Venture Partners co-led the recent funding round.

Mohit Mangal, Vice President at Centrum Broking, said that NSE at a Rs 5 lakh crore market capitalisation trades at 36 times FY28 earnings, which is at a 15-20 percent discount to BSE's valuations.
