Omar Abdullah raises concern over proposed Srinagar airport closure with Union ministers for Defence and Aviation
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Union ministers regarding the proposed closure of Srinagar Airport for maintenance. He suggested operating limited civilian flights from Awantipora Air Base to ensure connectivity. The airport will also close every Monday and Tuesday until September 30. Abdullah stressed the importance of uninterrupted air connectivity for tourism and businesses.
